Based in Inverness, ADLnature have been at the forefront of peatland restoration across Scotland since 2017. We’ve successfully restored 8,000+ hectares of peatland across more than 50 projects, all to Peatland ACTION standards. Our team has extensive experience working in sensitive and complex environments, including designated sites, drinking water catchments, and national parks. We’re proud to have registered one of the first peatland sites under the IUCN Peatland Code, and since then have registered over 1.3 million carbon credits. We’ve also played a key role in pilot feasibility development with Peatland ACTION and continue to deliver both private and publicly funded feasibility studies across Scotland. Our work extends beyond restoration, from cutting-edge drone technology to advanced wildlife monitoring, land management and environmental surveying, we’re using innovation and data-driven tools to set new standards in the sector.

Day 3 at the IUCN Peatland Programme Conference 🌍🌱
A proud moment as our very own Kirsty took to the stage on a panel to share her inspiring career journey and the challenges young people face in the sector - she absolutely nailed it!
The rest of the day was packed with insightful workshops diving into mapping and monitoring, learning from mistakes and the critical role of hydrology in peatland restoration.
We learnt so much, met so many interesting and passionate people, and are already excited for the next one!

Day 2 was field trip day and we went to CAFRE Hill Farm to explore a range of their projects aimed to improve habitat and water quality 💧
A big thank you to the staff at @discovercafre for showcasing their breeding wader site, forest to bog and water table depth projects.
The day wrapped up with great chats at our stall, a delicious conference dinner and a lively ceilidh to top it all off!
